In trading on Thursday, the SPDR S&P Metals and Mining ETF (XME) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 2.4% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of McEwen Mining (MUX), up about 8.2% and shares of Peabody Energy (BTU), up about 6.1% on the day.
